SCM leverages fundamental and intra-basin knowledge to optimize the value of producer resources, reduce bottlenecks and deliver higher netbacks to the producer.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Gas Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when discovered before they have a chance to worsen. Reports to the Technical Services Manager. This position has no supervisor responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carries out routine maintenance and testing activities.
- Completes fault-finding and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Modifies, repairs, or replaces systems and equipment.
- Installs new systems and equipment as required.
- Interprets technical drawings and updates with any changes following the installation of new systems and equipment.
- Orders spares and consumables as required on an ongoing basis.
- Prepares reports on work activities.
- Reports any breaches of safety procedures to supervision/management.
- Participates and promotes company health and safety campaigns policies and procedures and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
- Provides support as part of the installation emergency response team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Other skills required: o Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques. o Physically capable and available to work overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings. o Effective problem-solving abilities. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
