Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

HealthONE, a leading healthcare provider in Denver, seeks a Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. In this role, you will provide evidence-based, compassionate care to mothers and newborns, including triage, active labor support, fetal monitoring, medication administration, and immediate postpartum care. You will collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and pediatric teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Provide direct nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients and newborns Perform electronic fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate patterns Administer medications, including IV therapies and epidural support per protocols Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and obstetric emergencies Conduct maternal and newborn assessments and document accurately in the EMR Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes Respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., PPH, preeclampsia, fetal distress) using established protocols Labor and delivery nursing Electronic fetal monitoring Maternal and newborn assessment IV insertion and medication administration Obstetric emergency management Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Postpartum care Infection control and patient safety Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active CO RN license or compact state license BLS (Basic Life Support) certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certification preferred 1-3 years of recent Labor & Delivery or acute obstetric nursing experience
