Senior Financial Analyst
Location: SW Suburbs of Chicago

Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational analysis for a food manufacturing organization. This position will partner with finance, operations, supply chain, procurement, and commercial leadership to evaluate business performance, explain financial results, and support decision-making. The role requires 2-3 days onsite at the company's SW Suburban Chicago location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial plans Analyze monthly financial results against budget, forecast, and prior year Identify key drivers behind revenue, margin, labor, overhead, and operating expense variances Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions Partner with plant and operations leadership to evaluate manufacturing performance Analyze product margins, pricing, volume, mix, material costs, labor, freight, and production efficiency Support plant-level reporting, including standard cost, inventory, waste, yield, and overhead analysis Prepare management reporting packages, dashboards, and financial presentations Support new product, customer, capital expenditure, and cost-saving analyses Improve forecasting, reporting, and financial modeling processes Assist with month-end close activities, accruals, and management reporting Provide ad hoc financial analysis as requested by senior leadership
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 3+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, or related accounting and finance experience Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis Experience analyzing gross margin, inventory, standard cost, labor, overhead, and operational KPIsExperience with an ERP system and financial reporting tools Ability to communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
