Welder

Shift: 7am-3pm Monday-Friday Pay Range: $22-30/hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform fabrication, welding, burning, forming, and grinding. Layout and fabricate pressure vessels. Perform miscellaneous production floor assignments. Maintain general housekeeping of the production area. Develop new welding procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor or other company management personnel.

Education and Experience: High school graduate; trade school certificate and/or degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of production welding experience. Ability to successfully pass a 6G pipe welding test or the ability to pass a 2G pipe and plate welding test. Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read a tape measure and safely use hand tools. Ability to lay out and fabricate pressure vessels. Ability to read and interpret designs, sketches, and technical drawings. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using two-digit numbers, as well as perform calculations involving units of weight, volume, and distance. Basic language skills, including the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence. Basic reasoning ability, including the ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
