Apply for this role (opens in a new tab)Real Estate Accounting Manager Sunny Isles Beach, FLMajor well-known conglomerate is seeking a Lead accounting and financial reporting professional for a substantial commercial real estate portfolio spanning approximately 460 owned and leased retail locations and five distribution centers. Reporting to the Real Estate VP of Finance and Accounting, you will oversee the close process, ensure accurate U.S. GAAP reporting, and mentor property and senior accountants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee property-level and consolidated financial statements, cash flow reporting, and budget comparisons.
- Support lease accounting, CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, fixed assets, and acquisition/disposition accounting.
- Strengthen internal controls, support audits, and improve accounting processes.
- Collaborate with property management, asset management, treasury, and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in management or supervision.
- Strong commercial real estate accounting experience and U.S. GAAP knowledge.
