Shop Foreman (Pipefitting/Welding)

Position Summary: The Shop Foreman is responsible for supervising shop personnel, coordinating workflow, and ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience along with a solid background in pipe and steel welding/ fabrication, and industrial construction practices.*Supervise and lead shop personnel, assigning daily work and monitoring productivity.*Plan, schedule, and coordinate fabrication projects to meet production deadlines.*maintaining tool crib inventory*Perform and oversee pipe welding, fabrication + fitting, and assembly work as needed.*Perform and oversee steel fabrication welding and assembly work as needed*Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and fabrication specifications.*Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer requirements.*Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and OSHA regulations.*Train, mentor, and develop shop employees while promoting teamwork and accountability.*Coordinate material requirements, inventory, and equipment usage to minimize downtime.*Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.*Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement effective solutions.*Communicate project status and shop needs with management and field personnel.*Ensure proper maintenance and organization of shop equipment, tools, and work areas.*Stock tool crib as needed with tools and supplies (welding rod, grind wheels, etc.) and order gas, diesel fuel, etc.

Requirements: *5+ years of experience in pipe welding and fabrication within an industrial or commercial environment.*Previous experience in a supervisory, foreman, or shop management role.*Strong knowledge of pipe fitting, welding techniques, and fabrication processes.* Experience with tool crib and inventory management practices.*Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.*Experience managing production schedules and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.*Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.*Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.*Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.*Proficient with standard fabrication equipment and hand/power tools.*Valid driver's license and reliable transportation --- pick up/deliver product/inventory* Qualified candidates, please contact Tia McLean *Email resume to: tmclean@synerfac.com Office #: 302-324-9400#ZRNC
