Key Responsibilities: Directing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, enhancing function, and promoting overall physical performance. Overseeing and mentoring physical therapy assistants to ensure they effectively implement prescribed care interventions. Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' physical abilities, including diagnostic tests to establish baseline capabilities and treatment goals. Assessing the rehabilitation potential in clients' home environments, providing tailored recommendations to facilitate their independence. Administering physical therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions, which may include manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities. Utilizing a variety of modalities, such as traction and massage, to optimize therapeutic outcomes and enhance the recovery process. Evaluating and modifying the use of orthotic and prosthetic devices for clients, recommending adjustments to ensure maximum functionality. Documenting patient progress meticulously in clinical records, including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, adhering to all compliance and organizational standards. Engaging in interdisciplinary team case conferences to collaboratively refine treatment strategies and optimize patient care. Advising clients and their families about rehabilitation processes and self-care techniques to support continued improvement. Participating in the ongoing review and modification of care plans based on clients' evolving needs and responses to therapy. Maintaining professional documentation and communication regarding all clinical activities, supporting efficient service delivery throughout the practice. Completing other relevant duties as necessary to achieve the practice's goals and supporting the mission of providing superior patient care. Patient Population / Client FocusThis role predominantly serves a diverse population, including adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, individuals managing chronic conditions, and patients needing rehabilitation after accidents or injuries. Our therapy approaches are tailored to each patient's unique needs, ensuring a holistic approach to their recovery journey.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher qualifications, such as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in Virginia with no prior history of sanctions or board proceedings. Demonstrated expertise in a variety of manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop and implement effective exercise programs. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly in the use of WebPT for accurate documentation and recordkeeping. An unwavering commitment to staying current with developments and best practices in the field of physical therapy based on the latest research.

Preferred Experience: Experience working in an outpatient clinic, specifically with a focus on rehabilitation. Background in evaluating and prescribing orthotic and prosthetic devices is a plus. Prior experience in developing patient-centered care plans from assessment through discharge.
