Job description: Qualified candidates will need to have the following responsibilities: Build, administer and manage the Share Point infrastructure Installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and managing a Share Point Server or a Farm. Configuring all service applications like Search, Metadata, and User Profile Synchronization etc. Creation of a Content DB and maintaining it. It involves maintenance of various logging databases in SQL Server. Compressing of logging Databases is also done by Share Point admins since they grow in size considerably. Assignment of proper permission levels for all users of the site as well as configuring anonymous access if required. Conducting training and supporting the business users in their day to day involvement in Share Point sites. For instance uploading a document, starting an approval workflow etc. Ability to multi-task The qualified candidate will have proven experience in the following:3-5 years of experience on Share Point infrastructure, server and site administration Hands on experience on Installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and managing a Share Point Server or a Farm. Ability to configure all service applications like Search, Metadata, and User Profile Synchronization etc. Experience on creating a Content DB and maintaining it including maintenance of various logging databases in SQL Server. Compressing of logging Databases is also done by Share Point admins since they grow in size considerably. Experience on Share Point event Log troubleshooting, search administration and troubleshooting, concepts of a farm and the planning and implementation of Service Pack and cumulative update Knowledge on Power Shell programming. Clients usually prefer a person who can configure the whole system using Power Shell since it's much faster than UI.Solid understanding of IIS, Active Directory and Mail Configuration. Understanding on configuration of business Connectivity Services for connecting to a SQL database or a WCF service. Strong understanding of what can be done using OOB features in Share Point.
