Ensure accurate shipping and trade documentation and adherence to IATA and applicable FDA, ISO, cGMP, import/export, and transportation requirements. Optimization & Performance Management: Develop and monitor KPIs including on-time-in-full, freight spend, expedited freight, transit time, carrier performance, shipment exceptions, productivity, and international clearance performance. Use data, root-cause analysis, and continuous-improvement methods to reduce cost, improve service, and eliminate recurring failures. Stakeholder Collaboration & Capacity Planning: Partner with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Quality, Regulatory/Trade Compliance, Sales, and other functions to translate demand forecasts, product launches, and business requirements into distribution capacity, transportation, and resource plans. What you'll bring to the table: Minimum 5 years of experience in distribution, transportation, or logistics, including demonstrated experience managing domestic and international shipments; experience within the medical device industry or another regulated environment preferred. Advanced SAP experience in a distribution or warehouse environment is required. Experience with Fed Ex Ship Manager and other WMS, TMS, parcel, or freight shipping systems is preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge of international shipping practices and documentation, including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, Incoterms, tariff classification, import/export documentation, and applicable IATA requirements. Demonstrated experience using KPIs and operational data to improve service, cost, and process performance; lead business-continuity planning; perform root-cause analysis; and drive corrective and continuous-improvement actions. Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment, walk/stand for long periods, and remain flexible with extended hours and overtime.
