Project Engineering Manager Overhead Transmission LineSenior Transmission Line Engineer / Engineering Manager (Overhead Transmission)A leading U.S. engineering firm is seeking a senior-level transmission line engineer to lead complexoverhead transmission projects for utility customers and mentor engineering teams. This role is heavily focused on structuraldesign and offers strong compensation and long-term growth. Technical Focus~90% structural engineering (foundations, framing, materials) Experience with steel, wood, laminate, and composite structures Lattice tower experience is a plusEPC and/or utility services experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering execution for large or multi-project transmission programs
- Prepare and review complex engineering deliverables and calculations
- Manage budgets, schedules, and quality across disciplines
- Lead and mentor engineering teams; provide PLS-CADD training
- Serve as technical lead and responsible charge on projects
- Interface with clients and support pursuit/business development efforts
- Preferred ExperienceU.S. investor-owned utility transmission projects
- Strong understanding of PLS-CADD, line routing, structural loading, and foundation design
- Experience coordinating with procurement, permitting, land, and construction teams
- Proposal support and engineering cost estimating experience
