Histologist Full time

Education: Graduate of a one-year accredited histology program. Certificate in Histology, either Histotechnician or Histotechnologist Certification is required. ASCP registered or eligible for certification.

Experience: One (1) year of experience in histology. Knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the histology department. Knowledgeable regarding surgical and autopsy pathology. Knowledgeable regarding the identification and embedding of all tissue specimens. Knowledgeable regarding the cutting and mounting of tissue specimens. Knowledgeable in H & E staining and cover slipping of all tissue specimens. Knowledgeable in the preparation of frozen sections. Knowledgeable in the performance of special histochemical procedures. Have basic computer skills. Salary Range$32.68 to $48.06/hour Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
