Aggregates / Hard Rock Quarrying Compensation: Approx. $100K–$140K base + bonus + vehicle + benefits I'm working with an established construction materials business seeking a Quarry Manager to lead a profitable midsized granite hard rock quarry in Upstate South Carolina. The site produces approx. 500,000 tons annually, generates around $10M–$12M revenue, and has roughly 15 employees onsite. The operation supplies both internal asphalt / HMA plants and external commercial aggregate customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day quarry operations, safety, production, maintenance coordination, and profitability. Oversee drill, blast, excavation, crushing, screening, stockpiling, and loadout. Manage and develop a team of approx. 15 employees. Take ownership of P&L, cost control, production efficiency, and site performance. Support supply into internal HMA plants and external aggregate sales. Maintain a strong safety-first culture and MSHA compliance.
Ideal Candidate:
5–15 years of quarry / aggregate operations experience. Hard rock quarry experience required. Drill and blast experience required. Crushing experience required, ideally jaw and cone circuits. Prior Quarry Manager or strong Assistant Quarry Manager experience. Comfortable leading a midsized operation rather than a major mega-site. Strong communicator with maturity, accountability, and safety leadership. Package Base salary approx. $100K–$140K, flexible for the right candidate. Annual bonus historically around $8K–$25K.
