Job Title: Seasonal Box Maker- 3rd shift Employment Type: Seasonal/Temporary Pay: $16.00 per hour Start Date: Mid-October Location: Gastonia, NC Schedule: Associates can choose from one of the following rotating schedules: Schedule A Week 1: Sunday Wednesday, 6:00 AM4:00 PM Week 2: Sunday Tuesday, 6:00 AM4:00 PMSchedule B Week 1: Thursday Saturday, 6:00 AM4:00 PM Week 2: Wednesday Saturday, 6:00 AM4:00 PM
Job Summary: We are seeking dependable and hardworking Seasonal Box Makers to support a fast-paced warehouse operation. This position is responsible for assembling and preparing boxes and other packaging materials needed for daily order fulfillment. The Box Maker plays an important role in keeping the picking and packing operation supplied with the materials needed to maintain productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble boxes and cartons according to required specifications
  • Prepare boxes and packaging materials for use by the packing team
  • Fold, form, tape, and organize boxes as needed
  • Maintain an adequate supply of assembled boxes to support production demands
  • Stage completed boxes in designated areas for easy access by packers
  • Monitor packaging supplies and communicate when additional materials are needed
  • Keep box-making and supply areas clean, organized, and free of unnecessary materials
  • Follow all established safety and warehouse procedures
  • Work efficiently to meet daily productivity requirements
  • Assist with other general warehouse duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Previous warehouse, packaging, production, or similar experience preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable attendance and ability to report to work as scheduled
  • Ability to work the assigned rotating schedule, including weekends
  • Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shiftAbility to perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shiftAbility to frequently bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the work area
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
  • Ability to work in a physically active, fast-paced environment
