Our client is seeking an HR Project Management Lead to support a high-profile M&A integration already in progress. This person will lead project coordination across Compensation, Benefits, and broader HR workstreams, including the planned 2027 HRIS cutover for a newly acquired company into the client. The role requires someone who can quickly learn a complex project, bring structure to multiple workstreams, anticipate risks, and produce the detailed deliverables needed to keep teams moving. Detailed onboarding will be provided.
Key Responsibilities: Drive project execution: Build and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, weekly status reports, risk and issue logs, and reporting dashboards. Track milestones, dependencies, decisions, and follow-up items. Lead meetings and governance routines: Run project status meetings, leadership and team calls, partner checkpoints, and additional discussions needed to resolve issues or secure alignment. Prepare agendas, notes, summaries, and presentation materials.
Support Compensation and Benefits: Coordinate day-to-day activities across Total Rewards workstreams, prepare for design sessions and leadership reviews, identify process gaps, and work with leads to resolve issues. Coordinate benefit plan implementation: Partner with NYL Technology, HRIS, Alight, Empower, and other stakeholders on implementation activities, communications, and onboarding of a non-payroll entity. Support the HRIS cutover: Schedule workshops, gather requirements, track deliverables, document processes, and coordinate testing, data readiness, and issue resolution across HRIS, HR, Technology, and business teams. Turn direction into action: Translate HR leadership priorities into workplans and clear updates. Create process flows, diagrams, charts, and summary tables when needed to advance decisions and execution. Manage stakeholders and risks: Identify risks and blockers early, coordinate mitigation with workstream leads, escalate decisions promptly, and keep HR, Finance, Technology, and business partners aligned.
Required Qualifications: 3–5+ years of program or project management experience, including ownership of plans, trackers, status reporting, meetings, risks, and issue resolution. Ability to join a complex project already underway, learn quickly, and drive progress across multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Strong Excel skills; experience with VLOOKUP and pivot tables preferred. Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work at both the project level and the hands-on deliverable level, from anticipating dependencies to drafting meeting notes and process documentation.
Preferred Experience: Experience with Total Rewards, HRIS implementations, M&A integration, or other large-scale HR initiatives. Basic knowledge of compensation and benefits plans, such as 401(k), short- and long-term incentives, deferred compensation, and health and wellness benefits. Familiarity with technical data feeds between systems.
