Neurologist

Hartford Healthcare seeks a Neurologist to join our Bridgeport team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient neurology care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological disorders such as stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, headaches, and neuropathies. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care, support continuity across our network, and participate in quality improvement. Provide outpatient and inpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological disorders Interpret neuroimaging and neurodiagnostic studies in collaboration with specialists Develop and manage individualized, evidence-based care plans for patients Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care Participate in stroke and other neurology-related call coverage as needed Document care in the electronic health record accurately and timely Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and self-management Contribute to quality improvement, safety initiatives, and best-practice protocols Participate in teaching or mentoring of trainees and clinical staff Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing medical education Neurological examination and diagnosis Management of stroke and cerebrovascular disease Electroencephalography (EEG) interpretation Electromyography (EMG)/nerve conduction studies interpretation or collaboration Neuroimaging interpretation (CT/MRI) in partnership with radiology Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Evidence-based clinical decision making Care coordination in multidisciplinary teams Patient and family communication and education Quality improvement and patient safety practices Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology Active or eligible Connecticut medical license Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Completion of ACGME-accredited Neurology residency Fellowship training in a neurology subspecialty preferred (e.g., stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders)
