Compensation: $120,000–$175,000 Base + Bonus Opportunities

About the Opportunity: A highly regarded, nationally recognized intellectual property boutique is seeking a Patent Agent with 2–6 years of patent prosecution experience to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated patent prosecution and counseling matters for a diverse client base ranging from innovative startups to Fortune 500 companies, while enjoying a fully remote, flexible work environment. Key Responsibilities: Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications across a variety of technologies. Conduct inventor interviews and collaborate with clients to develop strategic patent protection approaches. Prepare office action responses, conduct examiner interviews, and develop effective claim strategies. Independently manage patent prosecution dockets and coordinate with attorneys and clients. Assist with patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate analyses, IP due diligence, and patent landscape reviews. Support the preparation of noninfringement and invalidity opinions under attorney supervision.

Qualifications: 2–6 years of patent prosecution experience. Strong technical background in one or more of the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering Computer Science / Software Mechanical Engineering Chemistry / Biochemistry Biology / Life Sciences Physics Demonstrated experience drafting patent applications and responding to USPTO office actions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters independently. Collaborative, proactive, and client-focused approach.

Base Salary: $120,000–$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. 100% Remote: Work from anywhere in the United States. Performance Bonuses: Trimester bonuses totaling up to $15,000 annually for meeting billable targets. Additional Bonuses: Eligibility for year-end discretionary merit and productivity bonuses.
