Analyst Department Org: Dean - NSM - 112170 Employee Classification: U1 - Unclassified PSA FT Bargaining Unit: Professional Staff Association Primary Location: MC AC Shift: 1 Posted Salary: $51,000 - $76,721.25 Job Description: This role will represent the University of Toledo to the publicesp. schools through the SCOPE outreach program by organizing andleading SCOPE sessions during which middle and high school studentsremotely control (from their classroom) highly sophisticatedresearch instrumentation located at UT. This role will be responsible for the operation, training andmaintenance of a scientific instrument located within the Collegeof Natural Sciences and Mathematics' Instrumentation Center. Thisrole will prepare and analyze samples submitted from both, university, and industrial users. The employee will train, supervise, and assist the users of the Scanning Electron Microscope. Additionally, this role will assist in office duties including butnot limited to support in grant writing, responsibilities relatedto the ICenter budget, creating webpages, and assisting the Director of the Instrumentation Center in day-to-dayoperations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years' experience working with a Scanning Electron Microscope or another sophisticated instrument. Bachelor's degree with master's degree preferred. Minimum one (1) year experience in running and organizing anoutreach program or something similar. Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software. Experience working with various age groups and abilities. Proficient in MS Office, including Power Point.
