Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible for fabricating, wiring, and testing control panels based on engineering drawings. Assists with the preparation and packaging of panels for shipment. Maintains the organization, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the shop. Provides support to team members on all shop-related tasks and activities. Essential DutiesPanel Assembly & Wiring Assemble electrical control panels according to specifications, engineering drawings, and project requirements. Interpret and apply assembly drawings, electrical schematics, bills of material, and related technical documentation. Build and wire industrial control panels in compliance with UL, NEC, customer, and Company quality requirements. Select and install components using electrical schematics and bills of material. Drill, tap, punch, and cut enclosure openings accurately and efficiently. Route and terminate wiring for motors, transformers, junction boxes, control devices, and related equipment. Print and apply labels and identification tags to wires, cables, components, and equipment. Assists with the preparation and packaging of panels for shipment.
Quality, Testing & Documentation: Troubleshoot basic electrical issues and assist with testing and verification of completed control panels. Maintain accurate records of installations, testing activities, project changes, and material inventory. Ensure completed work complies with applicable codes, customer requirements, and Company safety standards. Verify completed panels meet required functionality, quality, and appearance standards. Assist with the preparation, packaging, and shipment of completed control panels. Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the production area.

Protect confidential Company, customer, and project information. Represent and promote the Company professionally while complying with Company appearance and safety standards. Physical Demands & Working Conditions: The physical demands and working conditions described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Perform physically demanding work requiring manual dexterity, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds; frequent bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, climbing, and working in awkward positions; and prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including confined spaces, elevated locations, noisy or dusty conditions, and exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Work safely from ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and other elevated work platforms as required. Use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, testing instruments, and technology devices requiring fine motor skills on a regular basis. Maintain visual acuity sufficient to read technical documents, blueprints, schematics, labels, and electronic displays, as well as distinguish wire colors and identify small components. Must be able to work additional or non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require. Must be able to travel to job sites and customer locations, including occasional overnight stays.
Job Qualifications: Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA requirements, electrical safety standards, Company policies, and industry best practices. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve basic electrical issues. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, customers, and other stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to consistently deliver quality work in accordance with Company procedures and customer requirements. Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics. Ability to comprehend and apply job-related instructions and materials provided in English, with or without reasonable accommodation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business software as required.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of control panel fabrication, electrical assembly, industrial electrical, or field technician experience required. Knowledge of NEC and UL508A standards preferred.
