Responsibilities:
Following prescribed procedures, performing tests within laboratory specialties, and calculating results as necessary Operating, calibrating, performing performance checks, and maintaining laboratory analyzers or equipment Recognizing and correcting basic analyzer malfunctions; notifying management when appropriate Preparing reagents or media from prescribed procedures Evaluating media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteria Conducting established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluating QC results and implementing corrective actions when indicated Determining performance specifications for new methods Performing instrument maintenance, QC reagents, and kits Performing routine testing including assay validations Confirming and verifying results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and analyzers Monitoring quality assurance/continuous improvement programs Monitoring safety programs in compliance with laboratory regulations Using laboratory information systems or other methods to accurately report patient results Reviewing and following Standard Operating Procedures Reporting test results conforming to established procedures Supporting Eurofins DPT’s quality policy, objectives, and ethics Meeting basic expectations of Eurofins DPT’s quality management system, including good workmanship, SOP adherence, training, documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution If required by the State, the appropriate State License to perform clinical laboratory testingWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS0-2 years of related experience Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology Knowledge of the principles of chemistry, biology, and bacteriology as related to medical technology Knowledge of recent developments in the field of medical technology Ability to perform tasks according to prescribed procedures and to make accurate observations and records of test results Skill in the use of medical laboratory equipment Strong communication skills and analytical thinking Performs instrument maintenance Performs freezer, refrigerator, and incubator maintenance Performs QC reagents needed for patient testing Competent to perform routine testing for many tests performed within the department Environmental factors Lab carefully maintains all hazardous materials.
