The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions within a rapidly growing professional services environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive employee experience, maintaining compliance with employment laws, recruitment, benefits, payroll and supporting business objectives through effective HR practices. This role operates in a professional office environment with a collaborative, team-oriented culture. Occasional extended hours may be required to meet business needs. Position is in office M-F, 9 -5 PM with flexibility to work remotely when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruitment & OnboardingCoordinate recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, sourcing, setting up interviewsSupport offer processes (preparation of offer letters, running pre-hire requirements) New hire set-up in HRIS System in collaboration with Payroll and FinanceFacilitate onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hiresSend out new hire communication companywide as applicablePerformance and Compensation ManagementSupport performance review processes, including goal setting and annual evaluationsAssist with building / testing talent platform in HRIS systemCreate manuals and process documents and support management and training across the organizationSupport compensation processes, including salary reviews and benchmarkingHR Compliance & AdministrationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsMaintain accurate employee records and HRIS dataAssist with policy development, implementation, and communicationRun quarterly MVR’s on all company drivers and escalate as applicableRun companywide reports and/or create custom report to support Leaders and business decisionsPayroll and BenefitsAdminister employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiriesSupport compensation processes, including salary reviews and benchmarkingAssist with Benefit CommunicationBack-up for weekly and bi-weekly PayrollTraining & DevelopmentIdentify training needs and coordinate professional development initiativesAssist Director, HR and Hiring Managers with Career PathingSupport leadership development and employee engagement programsHR Projects & InitiativesParticipate in HR projects such as process improvements, system implementations, and culture initiativesAnalyze HR data and provide insights to support decision-makingHRIS support building workflows and leveraging our HRIS system support team to maximize different modules as we continue to growQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a professional services environmentStrong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office SuiteHR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) *PreferredExperience supporting a fast-paced, growing, client-service-oriented organizationKEY COMPETENCIES:Problem-solving and critical thinkingRelationship-building and collaborationAdaptability and resilienceResourceful and proactiveAttention to detailCustomer-service mindsetAdaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-driven organization
