Designing and managing a comprehensive research library, the full-time Digital Librarian will lead the intake, indexing, and metadata workflow for a Columbia River fish mitigation project, ensuring the quality and consistency of biological and fisheries research records in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities: Lead the transfer and intake of literature records, including deduplication and version control Develop metadata standards and indexing conventions for scientific literature Configure and quality-check AI-assisted intake and screening tools, documenting workflows and standards
Required qualifications: Experience organizing scientific, technical, or federal research literature Knowledge of metadata standards and controlled vocabularies Familiarity with reference management tools, such as Zotero Experience with AI-assisted tools for documentation and research workflows Understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards
