About the Role: The Student Services Associate is the first point of contact for prospective students exploring Carnegie's programs. This entry-level role owns the early stages of the enrollment journey — engaging with inquiries, answering questions, and making sure every candidate feels supported from their first conversation. It's a role for someone who's proactive, organized, and genuinely enjoys helping people figure out their next step. What You'll Own Student Engagement Reach out to prospective students by phone, email, and text to answer questions and evaluate their fit for available programs Guide candidates through initial inquiries, connecting them to the right people or resources along the way Enrollment Support Keep accurate, up-to-date records of student interactions and application progress in the CRMBuild and maintain working knowledge of assigned university programs, including admissions requirements and what each program offers Work with the team to hit enrollment goals while keeping service quality high Flag complex questions or concerns to senior team members or management when needed Growth & Development Take part in ongoing training to sharpen enrollment and customer service skills
What You Bring: High school diploma or GED required 1+ year of experience in customer service, sales, or higher education preferred Prior contact center experience a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable with Google Workspace and basic CRM or dialer/telephony systems Able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong time management skills and comfort switching between multiple tech platforms in a remote environment Willing to learn and grow within the role Able to work at a computer for prolonged periods Why This Role This role matters because first impressions shape a student's whole journey.
