Apply for this role →We're a mission driven CPG company building a portfolio of innovative brands. We are seeking a National Sales/Account Manager to lead account management, distributor and broker relationships, and the sales team while driving execution, reporting and growth across all channels.
Responsibilities:
- Manage distributor partnerships, including KeHE, UNFI and regional and international partners
- Lead broker network to ensure clear priorities and accountability
- Own relationships with key accounts in natural, specialty, conventional and digital channels
- Negotiate promotions, pricing and programs to deliver velocity and growth
- Oversee and coach the sales team
- Analyze syndicated data, distributor portals and sales reports to track performance and identify opportunities
- Develop and present reporting, including forecasts and promotion analysis
- Support marketing with shopper marketing initiatives and trade promotions
- Collaborate on pricing strategy and new product launches
- Identify new business opportunities and open new accounts across channels
- Ensure trade spend is tracked and optimized
- Represent the brand at key industry events and trade shows
- Preferred Experience5 to 8 years in CPG sales, with experience managing brokers and distributors
- Direct account management experience with major retailers in natural or specialty
- Strong understanding of trade promotions, deductions and distributor portals
- Comfort with data analysis and sales reporting tools
- Experience managing or mentoring a team
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
