Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities: Manage multi-year operating and capital budgets. Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, expenditure tracking, and budget performance. Administer federal and state grants, including reimbursements and compliance reporting. Ensure adherence to applicable financial policies, governmental accounting standards, and regulations. Prepare financial analyses and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making. Monitor financial activity associated with transportation operations and capital improvement projects. Maintain accurate financial records and processes within ERP/financial management systems.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.5+ years of progressive experience in governmental accounting, budgeting, financial management, grants administration, or public finance. Experience with ERP/financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Infor, or similar platforms. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field. CPA, CPFO, or comparable professional certification. Experience with federally funded transportation grants.
