Senior Virtualization Engineer (VMWare) | Hybrid

Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid)

Compensation: $130,000 to $160,000 + Bonus

Keep the platform healthy: Run and improve a large VMware environment the business relies on every day. Look after the servers: Manage the physical server hardware and the network and storage connections behind it. Keep it current: Plan and carry out VMware version updates with minimal disruption. Plan for growth: Track usage and make sure the environment has room for what the business needs next. Troubleshoot: Work through issues that span servers, storage, and the network until they're fixed for good. Keep it secure: Help keep systems patched and configured to company security standards. Write it down: Keep clear documentation so the rest of IT can follow your work. Who are you? You're an experienced virtualization engineer: You've spent several years running VMware in a large, multi-host environment. You're hands-on with VMware: You administer vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter yourself and can describe projects you've led. You know server hardware: You're comfortable with enterprise server platforms and how they connect to network and storage. You're methodical: You work through problems calmly and explain what you found. You communicate clearly: You can explain technical issues to technical and non-technical colleagues. You're local: You live in South Florida and are comfortable with a hybrid schedule into the Miami area.
