Minimum Qualifications: Two-year technical certificate or 3 years of experience working on projects directly related to the job responsibilities Rebar inspection experience Reinforced concrete construction experience including rebar experience Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with project team members from multiple locations in a working environment that expects self-initiative Knowledge of reinforced concrete construction and engineering related processes, as well as industry practices Ability to safely lift and carry equipment weighing about 30 pounds up and down stairs, ladders, and elevated surfaces on a frequent basis Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications Conscientiousness concerning safety and the accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness of results Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications: A B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology from a program accredited by ABET (aka Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), including courses in concrete materials, design or construction), PLUS six months satisfactory work experience; orA B.S. degree in an engineering program PLUS one year of satisfactory work experience; orA minimum of two years of college or technical school, earning at least 60 credit hours, PLUS two years of satisfactory work experience; orA high school diploma, or equivalent, PLUS a minimum of three years of satisfactory work experience; or Five years of satisfactory work experience.
