As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will take an active role in shaping the manufacturability of our products. You will apply your expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA), tooling design, and process engineering to develop and optimize manufacturing systems, ensuring products are designed for efficient, high-quality production from the start.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain detailed work instructions and process documentation.
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
Collaborate with design and quality teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
Design and implement production tooling and fixtures.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement projects.
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including production flow, workstation layout, and material handling.
Qualifications
You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline.4+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
- Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and process documentation.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary teams. Experience with computer based design and harness/wire routing tools like Capital/Zuken E3Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Capable of working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Knowledge of and Background in Aerospace industry and standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Essential Functions:
Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
