SummaryUnder the general guidance of the Specialty Pharmacy Management provide clinical oversight, operational leadership, and staff management within the specialty pharmacy program. In collaboration with Specialty pharmacists and technicians ensure that the Specialty Pharmacy provides optimal care to patients as evidenced by proper drug selection, dose, route, duration of therapy, and cost effectiveness. Develop, implement, and coordinate pharmacy programs and enhance the quality of existing services within specialty pharmacy. Collaborate with team members to optimize the delivery of care, ensure relevant patient safety, regulatory adherence, ensure certification and/or accreditation standards are maintained, and perform various required human resource functions.

Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program and demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience or 2-4 years of work experience as a registered clinical pharmacist with at least 1 year of specialty pharmacy experience and demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience
Licenses/CertificationsSC Pharmacist License
Current BLS Certification
CSP Certification (preferred but not required)
BCACP Certification (preferred but not required)
Additional Job DescriptionEducation: Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2 years of work experience as a registered pharmacist. Licenses and certifications: SC Pharmacist License, Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
