Weekend Hospice Registered Nurse

Responsibilities: Provide end-of-life visits, focusing on patient comfort, symptom management, and family support. Complete hospice admissions, including assessments, documentation, and coordination of care. Perform scheduled and urgent patient visits based on clinical needs. Assess changes in patient condition and coordinate appropriate interventions with the hospice team. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about comfort measures, medications, and the end-of-life process. Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation. Communicate with physicians, facility staff, and the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care.

Qualifications: Current, active New Jersey RN license. Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and respond to changing patient needs. Availability to work Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the three-county service area.
