We are working with a Louisiana based insurance defense Firm, looking for an Insurance Defense Attorney to join their team. Specifically, they are looking for someone who has 2+ years of commercial transportation experience. This role is remote
Requirements:
2+ years of commercial transportation experience
Previous insurance defense experience
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in the state of Louisiana
Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, from initial claim evaluation to final resolution.
Conduct thorough legal and factual research, and develop effective defense strategies for clients.
Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense strategies.
Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for these proceedings The annual salary for this position is between 150k-200k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
