Head of Accounting & Compliance

TDK AIsight is looking for a Senior Manager, Accounting to build our accounting function from the ground up. As our founding accounting hire, you'll own day-to-day accounting operations across our global entities, including the monthly close, internal controls, consolidations, and reporting to our parent company, TDK Corporation. At the outset, you'll be hands-on: running AP, AR, the general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations yourself while designing the systems, processes, and controls the company will scale on. You'll report to the Vice President of Finance & Operations and partner closely with them on budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. Perform day-to-day bookkeeping: journal entries, AP/AR processing, bank and account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Establish accounting processes, systems, and controls as the founding member of the accounting function Own AP, AR, and other daily financial operations, starting hands-on and adding staff supervision, workflow design, and process improvement as the team grows Oversee payroll accounting and fixed assets Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, delivering accurate and timely financial statements Prepare consolidated financial statements and monthly reporting to TDK headquarters Manage GL accounting, reconciliations, and consolidations across US and international entities Oversee subsidiary accounting operations, including control systems, transaction processing, and policies Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures across all entities Manage relationships with external and internal auditors, tax advisors, and TDK Corporation finance stakeholders Support due diligence, integration accounting, and reporting for acquisitions or new entities Build and mentor the future accounting team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)~5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct oversight of AP/AR~ Proven ability to run full-cycle accounting independently with minimal support~ Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting in a growing or multinational company~ Hands-on ERP experience and strong Excel skills~ Comfort working across time zones with international teams~ Experience in technology, hardware, or semiconductor-adjacent companies International statutory reporting experience (Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan, or Germany)M&A integration accounting experienceERP implementation experience, especially Oracle Fusion Cloud Experience as a first or founding accounting hire
