Director, Nursing, Behavioral Health

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage Behavioral Health nursing services. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Ensure safe staffing levels and oversee recruitment, hiring, retention, and workforce planning. Supervise nursing leadership teams and departmental staff. Monitor compliance with NYSDOH, Joint Commission (JCAHO), and other regulatory requirements. Drive performance improvement, quality initiatives, and patient satisfaction programs. Participate in budgeting, departmental planning, and resource management. Promote staff education, professional development, and clinical excellence. Oversee counseling, disciplinary actions, and employee performance management. Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Support HCAHPS improvement initiatives and customer service goals.
