QA QC Inspector Shop Floor

About Us: River City Industries (RCI) is a San Antonio-based sheet metal and precision components manufacturer serving the aerospace and defense industries. We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our shop floor team.

About the Role: As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll verify that parts meet engineering and customer requirements at key points in the production process. No prior QC experience is required — on-the-job training is provided. We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn precision measurement.

Responsibilities: Read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, pin gauges, radius gauges, and other measurement tools Record measurement data accurately to support job/part traceability Identify and report nonconforming parts, or measurements Communicate with production and quality team members to resolve inspection issues Maintain organized, accurate inspection records

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read technical drawings (GD&T knowledge a plus, not required — training provided) Comfortable using precision measurement tools, or willing to learn Strong attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy Reliable attendance and ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Basic computer skills for data entry

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods on a shop floor Ability to lift up to 45lbs as needed Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
