Surgical Pathology Duties:
Gross examination of surgical specimens (describing and dissecting tissues removed during surgery). Preparing specimens for microscopic examination. Selecting tissue samples for further analysis (e.g., histology, molecular testing).
Autopsy Duties:
Assisting or performing postmortem examinations. Dissecting bodies, examining organs, and collecting samples. Documenting findings and helping prepare autopsy reports.
Laboratory Work & Administration: Ensuring proper specimen handling and documentation. Maintaining lab equipment and supplies. May supervise pathology lab staff or assist in teaching medical students/residents.
