Apply for this role →Torch Stone is hiring a full-time, embedded GSOC Intelligence Analyst for the security operational nerve center for one of our clients. The GSOC’s operations are full-time, 24/7/365 and in person. The incumbent’s primary remit focuses on delivering exceptional intelligence management to assist our client as they strive to provide best in class security at scale. The incumbent contributes to the process and flow of our GSOC focusing on incident detection, classification, and intelligence analysis and the creation of high-quality recurring intelligence products for leadership and will serve as the first point of contact for rapid response to emerging issues that affect the client’s employees, properties, operations, or travelers worldwide. The GSOC Intelligence Analyst will engage effectively with business partners, client organization security staff and leadership to provide a crucial backstop to the organization’s security program through timely and effective coordination of operations and information that is needed for managers to make great business decisions in the face of risk or threat. The analyst reports day-to-day to an embedded Torch Stone supervisor and operates under the client’s standard operating procedures. Commensurate with an impact role on an established team, this is a high visibility position that requires curiosity, thoughtfulness and a dedication to solving problems independently within established procedures; imagination and flexibility are key factors for success. The right candidate will bring their subject matter expertise in security, intelligence analysis, mass communications, and incident response. They will then seamlessly combine hard skills with soft, demonstrating value for business partners as well as client security stakeholders. Scope of Work:- Manage a high volume of incoming data signals and produce outgoing communications and reports with a clear security imperative- Continuously monitor open-source intelligence, threat-alerting platforms, and travel risk feeds to detect incidents that may affect the client’s people, property, or operations- Triage and classify incidents using the client’s severity framework and source evaluation standards, and determine dissemination to relevant security stakeholders or business units- Liaise with client security management, facilities, and technology partners to assist in coordinating incident response- Draft and disseminate notifications to inform stakeholders and staff of emerging security situations, risks, or threats- Serve as the focal point for analysis and distribution of operative information that affects the client’s employees, properties, or operations- Support crisis management by maintaining real-time situational awareness, drafting staff communications, and relaying updates to GSOC leadership during critical incidents- Produce recurring intelligence products on a fixed schedule, including a daily leadership brief, weekly security bulletins and forecasts, a monthly event outlook, and travel risk assessments and safety guidance as assigned- Monitor the safety of business travelers and support staff accountability procedures following major incidents- Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests from staff and stakeholders, and provide phone coverage for adjacent GSOC functions as needed- Complete structured written and verbal shift handovers to ensure continuity across a 24/7 operation- Participate in after-action reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of GSOC procedure Basic Qualifications /
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Intelligence Studies, Homeland Security, or Security Management, or related field Minimum 2 years’ experience collecting and analyzing threat intelligence on a global threat monitoring, GSOC, or intelligence analysis team, or equivalent Authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening Superior research and writing skills related to the position, including concise Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF) writing under time pressure Ability to assess incident severity and source credibility quickly and accurately, often with incomplete information and under minute-level response time standardsA strong commitment to ethical private-sector intelligence practices and to maintaining the confidentiality of security-specific information Must be able to work in a 24/7/365 GSOC, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts, operating as the sole analyst during off-hours and participating in an on-call rotation. In-office presence is required; remote coverage may be required for callouts or contingency operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
