Ascendo Resources is partnering with an established financial institution in South Florida seeking an experienced Senior Vice President – Commercial Real Estate Lending to drive loan origination, expand client relationships, and manage a commercial lending portfolio. The ideal candidate is a proven commercial real estate lender with an established South Florida network, strong credit expertise, and a demonstrated ability to consistently generate new lending opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Originate and structure commercial real estate loans while consistently achieving annual production targets.
Develop new business through established relationships with commercial real estate investors, developers, business owners, attorneys, accountants, and referral partners.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified commercial lending opportunities.
Manage and monitor an existing commercial and residential loan portfolio, maintaining credit quality and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate potential transactions, perform preliminary credit analysis, and collaborate with underwriting teams.
Present credit proposals and lending recommendations to senior management and credit committees.
Oversee loan transactions through underwriting, approval, closing, and funding.
Lead and develop lending team members while promoting strong performance and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience with a Florida-based bank
- Proven track record in commercial real estate loan origination and business development.
- Established professional network within the Florida banking and commercial real estate markets.
- Strong understanding of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management.
- Experience presenting transactions to credit committees.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
