Experience and Education
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.10+ years of related experience required.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement and continually monitor a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk. Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Recommend benchmarks that measure the company’s performance. Manage all vendor payments. Direct and monitor the activities and performance of the workers' compensation program to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Produce annual budget/forecasts and report significant budget differences to management. Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations, in collaboration with COO.Work with external vendors and provide needed information for audits. Monitor retirement plan and review annual 5500.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee Accounting Assistants, Accounting Specialists and Senior Accounting Specialists. Oversee HR staff, including HR Manager, Generalist or administrative personnel. Interview, hire and train new staff. Oversee the daily workflow of the department. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Work environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
Physical demands: Prolonged periods of sedentary work. Occasional transporting of office supplies and/or equipment up to 20 pounds. Travel required Minimal travel required (e.g., for recruitment events, training, or conferences).Additional eligibility considerations Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
