If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to learn, and enjoy working with your hands, we'll teach you the garage door industry and give you a clear path to becoming a Residential Service Technician. This isn't just an hourly job. It's an opportunity to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career with a growing company. What You'll Do:
- Work alongside experienced garage door technicians
- Learn to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential garage doors and openers
- Assist technicians with service calls and repairs
- Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and industry-specific techniques
- Develop troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Learn A1 Door Company's customer service and safety standards
- Complete hands-on training designed to prepare you to become a technician
What We're Looking For:
- No garage door experience required
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Dependable and able to show up on time
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Comfortable working on ladders and performing physical work
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Experience in construction, automotive, HVAC, electrical, maintenance, mechanical work, or another skilled trade is a plus, but not required.
