Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by North Carolina and national regulatory bodies. Frye Regional Medical Center — Hickory, NCFrye Regional is the Catawba Valley region's full-service community hospital — a 355-bed Duke LifePoint hospital in Hickory built around defined service-line centers, and the first Duke Health heart affiliate in western North Carolina. Service-line centers organize the acuity: the Frye Heart Center, Brain Center, Cancer Center, and Lung Center, plus general and vascular surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, and advanced orthopedics. A Women's Center with a Level III NICU gives maternity, mother-baby, and neonatal RNs a defined obstetric and newborn track. A 32-bed emergency department and a 29-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit span emergency and rehab nursing. A Duke Health heart affiliate, connecting the cardiac program to Duke expertise — useful context for cardiac and telemetry nurses. An 81-bed adult behavioral-health hospital on the South Campus adds psychiatric nursing, with 300-plus physicians across 35 specialties.
