Bucket Truck Operator

Responsibilities: Safely operate a bucket truck and associated equipment Climb utility poles when required Assist with hooking up single-phase and 3-phase risers Install related equipment for risers Perform work from bucket trucks and climbing positions Load, unload, carry, and handle heavy materials, tools, and equipment Follow proper PPE, grounding, and electrical safety procedures Perform daily inspections of trucks, tools, climbing gear, and equipment Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Follow company and customer safety requirements Work effectively with foremen, operators, and ground personnel The duties and responsibilities listed above are intended to describe the general nature of the position and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications required. Qualifications: Bucket truck operating experience required Must be able and willing to climb utility poles Must be physically capable of performing strenuous manual labor and safely lifting and carrying heavy objects Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, pull, push, reach, and work at heights for extended periods Must be capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions Experience with single-phase and three-phase electrical distribution systems preferred Knowledge of utility construction tools, equipment, and safe work practices preferred Valid driver's license requiredCDL preferred Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a crew Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours when required
