Regional Service Manager

About the Role: This leadership role will oversee service operations across multiple locations, with responsibility for operational performance, financial results, team development, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines fire protection industry experience with strong business acumen and the ability to develop teams, improve processes, and grow a service business.

Responsibilities: Lead service operations encompassing inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, scheduling, dispatch, and field execution. Manage service leaders and partner with branch management to improve performance across multiple locations. Drive revenue growth, profitability, recurring service revenue, and customer retention. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and service business performance. Establish and monitor key performance indicators for labor productivity, resource utilization, backlog, quality, and customer responsiveness. Identify operational gaps and implement practical improvements to strengthen service delivery and financial results. Develop consistent processes and operating expectations across locations. Assess staffing requirements, align resources with customer demand, and coach and develop service teams. Conduct regular performance reviews and communicate business risks, resource needs, and growth opportunities to senior leadership. Build relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors, and resolve escalated service issues. Partner with installation teams to transition completed projects into ongoing inspection, maintenance, and service agreements. Ensure adherence to applicable safety requirements, industry standards, codes, and company policies.

Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in fire protection or a closely related service industry, including leadership responsibility. Experience overseeing multiple locations or teams preferred. Strong knowledge of fire and life safety inspection, maintenance, repair, and service operations. Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, profitability, and operational performance. Ability to improve labor productivity, manage service backlog, and support recurring revenue growth. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence teams outside a direct reporting structure. Experience managing customer relationships and resolving service delivery challenges. Ability to use financial and operational data to guide decisions and communicate effectively with senior leadership. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered. Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
