Senior Producer

Collateral Partners is a brand and communications firm working across capital markets: private equity firms, asset managers and founders going through raises, transactions and launches. Video and motion carry a lot of those stories, and it has reached the point where it needs someone to properly own it. We already produce a fair amount of video. This is the first seat dedicated to building out a proper offering for our clients, which means real influence over how it takes shape, a freelance bench to build around you, and a clear path into leading a video team as volume grows. About the seat This is a hybrid role, typical of a small-crew setup. You hold the creative vision and you run the production. You shape the concept, lead the shoot and steer the edit through to delivery. You also cost the project, build the crew and hold the schedule. How much of that you do yourself is your call. On some projects you will be directing. On others you will bring in a freelance director or creative director and hold the standard from the producer's seat. Knowing which a project needs, and resourcing it accordingly, is a real part of the job. The work is high-craft rather than large-format. Think documentary and brand films made by a tight team, with you on set and close to the work, delivered to a standard that stands up on an owned channel. What you will own Creatively: Shape concepts and treatments from a client brief or a business objective Set the creative vision for a project and hold it through to delivery Lead on set: directing yourself where that makes sense, bringing in a freelance director where it does not Run or oversee interviews, including with senior and unfamiliar subjects Shape narrative structure and coverage, working with writers and directors where a project calls for them Steer the edit through structure, sound, grade and final delivery Brief motion designers and animators, and hold the standard on motion and animated deliverables Hold the quality bar across everything we produce Operationally: Scope and build project budgets, then deliver against them Build and maintain production schedules across several concurrent projects Source, brief and manage freelance crew (directors, DPs, camera operators, editors, motion designers, writers and voice talent) in whichever market the work requires Handle production logistics: locations, permits, releases, travel and kit Manage post-production through to versioning and delivery Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders, including travel for shoots

Practical notes This role is based in Dallas and works on a hybrid basis, with time in the office alongside our Founder. This role would require travel for shoots. We are looking for people already in Dallas or with firm plans to be.
