Apply for this role →This position is located in Division of Risk Management Supervision Capital Markets, Accounting, and Policy Branch, Exam Support Section and is responsible for providing expert guidance in all pertinent matters relating to policy and supervision for capital markets risk, capital markets risk management techniques, and the economic and regulatory capital requirements of financial institutions. Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill identical vacancies that arise later. Qualifying experience is credited from private and public sectors, including paid and unpaid service (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps). Volunteer service builds competencies that translate to paid work. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience. See OPM's General Schedule Qualification Standards for details. CG-15: Applicants must complete one year of specialized experience equivalent to the 14level or above in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Leading complex examinations or targeted reviews involving capital markets risk at financial institutions; independently or as a team lead developing policy recommendations or evaluating compliance with policies related to regulatory capital, liquidity, interest-rate risk, or capital markets instruments, activities, and strategies; and analyzing capital markets activities and recommending actions to promote the safety and soundness of financial institutions or safeguard U.S. financial stability. In addition to the qualification requirements above, you must meet the following selective factor: Must be a commissioned FDIC Financial Institution Examiner (Risk Management) or hold a Risk Management Examiner commission from another comparable organization as determined by the FDIC.Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) eligible applicants must earn 80 or higher on the online assessment to be determined "well qualified."
