Head Start Preschool Assistants- IU Countywide (26/27 SY)

Duties & Responsibilities: Assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities Establish and maintain effective working relationships with adults and children Assist the teacher in caring for children

Qualifications: CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education required within 2 years of hire Previous experience working in a childcare/preschool setting strongly preferred Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required within one year of hire Clearance as an MA provider by Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)NSOR Clearance upon hire

Note: If hired without an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA, employees must fulfill an educational requirement to obtain their CDA within 2 years of hire.
