Senior Electrical Panel Builder A growing, family-owned manufacturer of backup power enclosures and fuel tanks is looking for a Senior Electrical Panel Builder to join their team in Machesney Park, Illinois.
Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced electrical assembly and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. Conduct root cause analysis to identify, resolve, and prevent recurring issues. Install and secure rigid conduit according to project specifications and industry standards. Demonstrate advanced proficiency using a Greenlee conduit bender. Safely pull and route large-gauge wire for transformers, panelboards, and related electrical equipment. Follow pull lists to properly route conductors. Wire, terminate, and label primary and secondary transformers with a high degree of accuracy. Install and terminate DLO cable and MCM wire connections for alternators and breakers. Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and electrical instruments. Interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and written assembly instructions. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment according to established procedures. Serve as a technical resource and mentor for Entry-Level and Skilled-Level Assemblers. Train team members on advanced electrical assembly techniques and complex job functions. Safely operate and work from scissor lifts, boom lifts, and ladders. Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity. Provide flexible support across production areas as needed.
Skills & Experience
Education: High school diploma or GED, required
Experience: 3+ years of electrical assembly, required
Knowledge: AC/DC wiring, 480V and 240V wiring, power tools, and electrical instruments, required Ability: to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams, required
