Forklift Operator

Responsibilities: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility Operate packaging equipment, including hoists and related material-handling equipment Read and follow work orders, production assignments, and computerized instructions Verify product quantities, weights, labels, and material information for accuracy Perform basic mathematical calculations to maintain accurate quantities and weights Complete pre- and post-shift forklift inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns Safely handle containers and materials weighing up to 50–60 pounds occasionally Monitor material movement and ensure products are placed in the correct locations Maintain accurate production or material-handling records using basic computer systems Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by removing excess debris and materials Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and manufacturing guidelines Communicate equipment issues, damaged materials, or other concerns to the supervisor Assist with additional production and material-handling duties as assigned Work overtime when needed to support production requirements
