Nurse Practitioner The Nurse Practitioner provides medical care services and treatment to patients of all ages within scope of license, in collaboration with a physician as required by law. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to collect and document patient data, performs physical examinations, diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures, assessments and screenings, prescribes medications and treatments, orders and schedules laboratory and diagnostic studies to provide evidence based care and comprehensive services including direct patient care. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner may have an area of specialty practice.
