Job Description: Position: Automation Technician
Location: Austell, GA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with occasional overtime
Pay: Up to $36.00/hr, based on experience
Job Type: Direct Hire Job Summary We are hiring an Automation Technician for a client in the Austell, GA area. This hands-on role keeps automated assembly machines and related equipment running safely and efficiently through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently on electrical, mechanical, and automated systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair automated assembly machines, robotics, sensors, and electrical/mechanical systems Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce downtime Support machine changeovers, setups, and adjustments for production Diagnose machine failures and help determine root cause and corrective actions Assist with new equipment installations and upgrades Work with production and quality teams to resolve machine-related issues Document repairs, downtime, and parts used Follow and promote all safety procedures, including LOTOMust Haves High school diploma or GEDBasic knowledge of pneumatics, electrical systems, prox sensors, and mechanical repair Ability to use basic diagnostic tools (multimeter, gauges, etc.)Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as needed
Preferred Skills: Technical training or 2+ years of experience in maintenance, automation, or a related field Experience with PLC controls or robotics Computer and HMI navigation experience Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills#ZR\nCompany
