Diesel Truck Mechanic

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have good general physical capabilities.- Must have the ability to do heavy lifting and carry various parts to the job site and install in place.- Ability to work from written instructions and customer specifications.- Must have the ability to work with little or no supervision in a safe manner.- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and management.- Have the knowledge and ability to properly remove, repair and re-install all component parts of various engines.- Have the ability to operate various hand tools, and power equipment.- Have the ability to operate shop machinery such as: ratchets, drills, reamers, grinders, barring tools, bolt threaders, torque wrenches and other tools generally recognized as necessary for repairs.- Removes and re-installs oil and water pumps.- Removes and re-installs transmissions.- Modifies engines and component parts.- Sets and tests components on engines.
