Underwriting Program Leader

Key responsibilities: Develop and implement the program's strategy, risk appetite, and underwriting guidelines in collaboration with senior leadership Act as the lead line underwriter, evaluating and pricing risks for new business and renewals Build and maintain brokerage relationships to drive program growth and set production goalsRequired qualifications 10+ years of underwriting experience in a specialty or commercial line with expertise in a defined niche Proven track record of managing a large portfolio, ideally $50M+ in premium, profitably and at scale Experience in developing underwriting guidelines and maintaining underwriting discipline Demonstrated ability to build and manage broker relationships that drive production Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to innovate and challenge traditional underwriting practices
